Discover the therapeutic and malleability of clay through a series of engaging hand-building workshops designed for young children @ The Potters' Guilt!

Have them create their own functional ware while learning about patterns, textures, colours and form through the different techniques of slab work, coiling and pinching.

$50.00 per workshop

Workshop 1: Planter Potter! (9-12 years old)

Create your own unique teacup and saucer or a plant pot set while mastering the technique of coiling and slab work!

Techniques: Coiling, Slab work

Outcome: 1 cup and saucer OR 1 plant pot & water dish

Workshop 2: Smug Mug-gler! (9-12 years old)

Create your own usable mug or pencil holder through learning about slabwork and applying coloured slip!

Techniques: Slab work + Coloured Slip

Outcome: 1 decorated mug/holder

Workshop 3: Bowl-ing Champions! (5-8 years old)

Pinching your own Nesting (Stackable) Bowls and decorate them with patterns and textures!

Techniques: Pinching, Texture Stamps

Outcome: 3 textured bowls

Workshop 4: Patterns and Plates! (5-12 years old)

Learn about the different types of textures and pattern making through the process of slab work while creating your own little plates before you decorate them with coloured slip!

Techniques: Slab work + Coloured Slip

Outcome: 1 plate/cup/dish

Our guest instructor for our Children’s Workshops series:

DAISY TOH

Daisy’s passion for ceramics started when she studied visual arts in School Of The Arts, Singapore. She has had experience working with children through art workshops such as Camp Chartwell, ARTitude for Club Rainbow children and arts camps for children under Prison Fellowship Singapore. As the pioneer cohort of SOTA Alumni, Daisy has also taught art in Methodist Girls’ School as part of her internship with MOE and co-ran multiple ceramic workshops at Jalan Bahar and Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle. 

Recently graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts, Daisy has completed a residency in HO-CA Tajimi, Japan and an internship with ACERA Liven USA Inc. in Shan Dong Province, China. As a practicing artist, she has exhibited ceramic works in Singapore, Taiwan and Jing De Zhen, China. Throughout her studies in Taipei, Daisy has placed 3rd in the Crafts and Design Department Annual Exhibition and 2nd in her cohort’s bachelor graduating exhibition. Daisy was also awarded the FRANZ Rising Star Award and Scholarship, an international competition for ceramics students in 2018.
